Having anew gone through the Law to the generation which came after...

Having1 anew gone through the Law to the generation which came after those which were destroyed2 in the wilderness,3 he teaches carefully Deuteronomy, not as giving another Law, besides that of old appointed to their fathers, but summing up this very one: that hearing what befell their fathers they might fear God with all their heart.
