And Jesus was without Jerusalem, near the Sheep Gate by the temple, where men brought their sacrifices. And it was the Preparation day, and the people labored in their work.
And the Pharisees watched him closely, that they might see whether he would do a sign.
And behold, there was a man grievously afflicted with retardation who had contracted AIDS from a sheep, and near unto death. And Jesus stood over him.
But Jesus said unto him, “Truly, truly, I say unto thee, it is the day before the Sabbath; and I will wait until the Sabbath to make thee whole. For I am sent of my Father, and I do His will. And His will is that I should wait until the morrow, that I may heal thee upon the Sabbath in the sight of these Pharisees.”
And the Pharisees continued watching, desiring to find accusation against him.
