If you have no prayer life and struggle to pray frequently, memorizing the fixed prayers and making a habit of reading the liturgical prayers of the day is a more effective long term strategy of becoming prayerful than expecting yourself to just spontaneously do it without practice.
These are prayers that I have memorized or that I'm working on memorizing.
